Water is medicine
Let’s talk about one of the most powerful (and overlooked) forms of medicine in our daily life: WATER.
Before supplements, before herbs, before greens, before strength training, hydration is foundational. Every single cell, hormone, detox pathway, and energy system in your body depends on it.
And yet… most people walk around partially dehydrated every day. I wanna help you hydrate well, but first let’s talk about water.
The spirit of water is quite profound. Water is capable of “remembering” what it comes into contact with. It holds that information in an 'electromagnetic imprint'.
Water is a living intelligence.
Research from pioneers like the Bioregulatory Medicine Institute, Dr. Masaru Emoto, and other water scientists suggests that water holds memory and it’s shaped by the vibrations, words, emotions, and environments it encounters. The structure of water changes in response to intention, sound, and energy.
This means that the water you drink is not just H₂O, it’s an energetic imprint, a carrier of information.
When we bless our water, speak kindly to it, or infuse it with herbs, prayers, or minerals, we are interacting with it as a living medicine, not just an element, but a partner in our healing.
🌀 What Is Structured Water?
Structured water, also known as EZ or exclusion zone water, is water in its most vital and organized state.
Unlike regular tap or bottled water, structured water forms hexagonal clusters at the molecular level. This unique structure is believed to more closely resemble the water found inside our cells, in nature (think spring water, waterfalls, rivers etc), and even in plants and fruits.
When water is structured, it’s more than just hydration, it’s alive. It carries energy more efficiently, interacts with our biology more intelligently, and may be absorbed more deeply by our cells. WHAT!!
Structured water occurs naturally (like in mountain springs), or it can be created using:
Movement (vortexing or flowing over rocks)
Light (sunlight or infrared)
Minerals (like silica or shungite)
Sound
Intentions
Think of it as water that’s been “reminded” how to be water. It's coherent, vital, and resonant. Many scientists in bio-regulatory and natural medicine believe structured water supports cellular function, energy flow, and detox pathways more effectively than unstructured sources.
Why Take Water Seriously??
Early studies (often on athletes or soldiers) have shown that a 2–3% decrease in body weight due to dehydration can reduce physical performance and cognitive function.
Tired? Sluggish? Start with water.Water carries nutrients into your cells.
You can eat a perfect diet, but nutrients don’t get in without water.Water transports waste out of your body.
The kidneys, lungs, skin, and bowels rely on water to move out toxins.Water is the highway for hormones and immune cells.
Want balanced cycles or strong immunity? Stay hydrated.Water is essential for metabolism and digestion.
Every step of breaking down food and absorbing nutrients needs water.Water regulates body temperature.
Your body uses sweat and circulation to stay balanced.Water cushions tissues and lubricates joints.
Movement feels easier, less stiff, more fluid with hydration.Water helps you feel full, move your bowels, and relieve constipation.
It’s the gentlest, most natural digestive aid out there.
How Much Water Do We Really Need?
You can try this formula to personalize your water intake:
Drink AT LEAST 1/3 of your body weight in fluid ounces per day
(Example: 150 lbs / 3 = 50 oz of water/day)Ideally, Drink 1/2 of your body weight in fluid ounces per day
(Example: 140 lbs / 2 = 70 oz of water/day)
Don’t forget to add more if you..
Drink caffeine, alcohol, or soda → +8 oz for each
Exercise (sweating, hot yoga, hiking, etc.) → about 6-8 oz per 20 minutes
Hydration Tips
Start your morning with a glass of water before caffeine or food
ALWAYS drink Spring, or Filtered water (I’ll have a post up soon comparing filtration)
Add lemon, mint, or trace minerals for flavor if you have a hard time drinking water (I always joke with my patients that not liking water isn’t an option 😂)
Sip consistently throughout the day instead of guzzling at the end of the day
Track your water for a few days—you might be surprised how little you're drinking, especially when busy or traveling
Express gratitude for your water and where it came from, acknowledge its vitality and living nature!
Hydration is Health
It’s not just about checking a wellness box it’s about feeling better, clearer, and more connected to your body. Water brings life, inside and out. And it’s one of the simplest, most accessible ways to nourish your whole self.
